The Oak Cliff Cultural Center presents La Rica Latinoamérica Exhibit

The Oak Cliff Cultural Center presents La Rica Latinoamérica: A Photographic Journey through a Region Full of Richness by photographer Edén Soto Alva. La Rica Latinoamérica will be on view from  September 12 through October 17, 2014 at the Oak Cliff Cultural Center at 223 W Jefferson Blvd., Dallas, TX 75211. The Oak Cliff Cultural Center will host a reception for the artist on Friday, September 26th, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.

La Rica Latinoamérica documents the travels of Edén Soto Alva through Latin America, capturing the scenic beauty and a glimpse into the daily social life of Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Colombia, Panama, and Peru. An Emmy Award-winning photojournalist, Edén Soto Alva is a native of Peru and immigrated to Dallas at the age 14. A graduate of the University of North Texas Radio, Television and Film program, Sota Alva works as general assignments reporter with Univision 23 in Dallas. He began his career as a news reporter and anchor for “Noticias Univision Nevada” in Las Vegas. Edén is originally from Lima-Peru and immigrated to Dallas at the age 14. He graduated from the University of North Texas in Denton with a Bachelor’s degree in Television and Film and a minor in World History. He also holds an Associate degree in Photography from North Lake College in Irving
